[buddybear]

Buddybear is almost 11 months old and the worst problem I have with him is coming when he's called. I've offered treats which he turns up his nose at except pistachio nuts. I know they can have a few but not that many and I cut them up in very small pieces. I feel I'm tired of bribing him.
After watching the dog whisper I realized I am not the pact leader. Buddybear trusts me but that's it.
He has gotten out 3 times and it was a nightmare getting hold of him plus we live near a very busy street.
I've watched video from different trainers and I'm a failure. The only time he came to me without a treat was when I was very angry and spoke to him harshly.
How or what have you done to be successful with this command? TIA
