Congrats on your new addition and thank you for rescuing. In time they will adjust to each other. Remember, this is Alfie's home, he is use to being # 1. New little girl, she needs time to adjust to a new family, a new home, new surroundings, new smells, new schedule, new command words, she has a very big adjustment to make, I would expect her to be anxious and nippy with Alfie if he shows no sign of friendship. She needs time to adjust, Alfie needs time to accept. Always feed Alfie first, make Alfie first with every thing, give Alfie treat first, toy, play, cuddle. If you walk Alfie walk them together... Do not force them to be friends, let each one make friends at their own pace. They are close in age, they will get it together and will become great buds. Let them work it out between them, step in only if necessary. Please keep us up-dated on their progress.
