Oprah tried to fight against the beef industry. They shut her up good. There's also a recent documentary on how the beef industry is destroying our ecosystem and polluting our land due to feces and blood from the slaughter house. Yet, no one has come up with a solution and the demand for beef keeps increasing so these beef manufacturers continues with their operation.

Problems like this have brought powerful people together and discuss population control which is the root cause of such issues and GMO foods.
And I quote Maxdog from below: "Your statement above is called apathy...and that is all that evil needs to survive."

Tphan - I prefer doing something over nothing, and always will. Every little thing we do toward the right direction is a step in that direction. And I end my discussion with you by leaving it w/ this quote, which is one of my faves:

"When nothing seems to help, I go look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before. --Jacob Riis"
