We just had Sophie at the vet for not eating/drinking and I asked the vet how much water she needed in a day if she wasn't drinking as she is usually willing to take from a syringe when she isn't wanting to eat.

She weighs about 5lbs and the vet left the exam room and said she was going to go do some sort of calculation and came back and said if she isn't eating or drinking at all it works out that she would need about 1/2 cup of water a day, less if she is eating wet food or treats with water content (her treats these days are carrots, frozen green beans and bananas). She said if she still didn't drink the water willingly to add some extra water to canned food so she is getting enough water through out the day.

I know she weighs more than your little one, but I just thought I would give you the answer our vet gave me for our 5 pounder!
