 How much water are yorkies supposed to drink?
My 12 week old puppy might not be drinking enough water. I've read that 1 oz of water per one pound of body weight is optimal. That would be 3 oz of water for him per day. He only drinks 1.5 oz though in one day, which is half. His nose is dry.
How can I make him drink? I have been squirting water in his mouth with a dropper, but he won't take more than 5 droppers, which is just 5 ml in total, almost nothing.
What else can I try?
He does pee about 5 times a day, small quarter size puddles (on my carpet). He stays outside for an hour and then comes in to pee on the carpet. Anyways, I am doing the potty training, but worried about the amount of water he drinks. |
