I have made significant progress on my kitchen. Three designers bid the cabinets, and I am very pleased with one who is only 15 minutes from my home, delightful to work with, and able to provide awesome custom cabinets that will be made in Kansas to arrive on Maui in September.
Best part is after much debate on wood.... they will be TEAK. Yay, can't tell you how happy this makes me
I didn't even ask for quotes on teak, knowing it was more expensive, but decided to splurge. I'll be living with this kitchen for a long long time.
Appliances have been selected, and I LOVE them. Granite is selected & paid for, waiting for fabrication after cabinets go in.
Oh, and the biggest bonus of all dating the handsome contractor has turned into a committed relationship. Yep, I couldn't be happier. We both feel like teenagers again and are so happy. Wow, life is good! Really really good!
