Piper loves going for walks (i.e. fast, little terrier-trots) even when it's hot. However, she lets me know we're done when she dramatically drops to the ground (read: shady, cool, often just watered, grass), stretching out and/or flipping on her side. 'Course as soon as I say, "C'mon, let's go home.." Piper is off at her usual time's a-wasting trot. I keep our warm-weather walks confined to our neighborhood so we're never more than a few blocks from home. Neither Pipe' nor I are fans of hot summer weather!
