If you've started walking do it in the AM before the sun really comes out to play. I'm in Texas and it gets unbearable around 9 a.m. until 7/8 p.m. Make sure you have water readily available if you do have your pup outside for long periods of time. My pups never do their business as soon as they get out so we're outside for 30 minutes at a time . A/C is a godsend and if that's not available, lots of fans.
