Ugh, it's HOT here too, in the desert. In the 100's. The test for paws is to put your own hand or foot on the pavement...if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them too. If you want them to walk on the heated surface for a short period, then you could get some dog boots or whatnot to protect the paws. I just always do walks in the early mornings this time of year.
I have not tried a cooling jacket but imagine they'd provide some good relief. What about those newer "cooling towels" too...?
