I don't know how much protein or not a puppy should have but I am very angry right now at the person you got your puppy from. I thought it ridiculous that they told you to count out their kibble, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But now that you are posting that they had him on Purina Light and Healthy is HORRIBLE. That food is for OVERWEIGHT dogs! It is light in calories because it is fed to ADULT dogs that need to lose weight! It is NOT for puppies. I don't know if the breeder was trying to keep the weight down on the puppy so she could advertise them as teacup or what she was doing. But there really isn't such a thing as a teacup yorkie; they are just smaller yorkies. At least you couldn't find the Purina Light and Healthy food so your puppy isn't on it any longer which I think is probably a good thing.
