The best food to feed a yorkie? A food that they'll accept and thrive on. I'm currently feeding Primal freeze dried formulas and I'm going to keep them on it as long as they'll eat it(yorkies are notoriously picky! I never had this problem with my bulldog lol). We've gone through Royal Canin, Taste of the Wild, Solid Gold, Fromm, and Stella and Chewy. I would recommend all the prior foods because I've seen dogs do great on them, but either my dogs started to turn their noses up, had digestive issues, or I started to see negative side effects from them(tear staining, bones poking, etc). Dogs are individuals and what may work for one won't for another. If you're interested in a particular brand, I suggest emailing them and asking if they have samples. |
