sorry i've been working alot and juggling the fur babies, thank goodness for my parents who have been watching them so they havent been alone at all the past week. milo was put on sulcrate oral suspension plus, famotidine and another pill, i forget its name, for anti vomiting. after a few days he made a huge turn around, hes my solid teapot 13lb yorkie lol. meesha my ct 7lb yorkie , she stopped vomiting, but ever since that vomit episode her breathing hast been the same. they did xrays and her trachea ,it hasn't collapsed much more, it is very very skinny in the area where her legs are, not the throat and not the chest. its in between. and she does have an enlarged heart now.She pushed for us to travel 7 hours away to a vet college to get a stent, she said she could have an episode any day now where i can't calm her down, she said its going to come to a point soon where a stent is my only option. but i really don't like the odds of that surgery, i asked her if she ever sent a dog from her clinic to get it ever and she said no.. she gave her prednisone for the next while, she said it'd clear any infection up too and said to still give her the collapsed trachea eilixir only once a day now instead of every 8 hours and see how she does on this. shes not my regular vet so thats all she wanted to do. i had to make another appointment tonight, thier nails were so long( my ct yorkie screams and wont let me cut her nails), while at the vet she had a really bad episode and they gave her some sort of injection in her back,i am home with her now, shes very drugged up and can't even walk i put her down on the floor and she fell over twice.. i've been laying in bed with her while she sleeps to make sure she keeps breathing because she's unusually not this quiet when breathing and she is laying like dead weight, 2 back legs sticking straight out. i think they od'd her a bit...thank goodness for my credit card, what an expensive week, i still have another upcoming appointment for milos itchy skin and an appointmen for a followup with meesha about her ct when my regular vet comes back. but i love them so much i'll put myself in as much debt as it takes to make sure they're ok. they're my children!i'm a single yorkie mom!haha, i never though loving 2 little animals this much was possible, i think i've been branded crazy dog lady now by everyone who knows me, but until they own a yorkie they'll never know how these cute little fur balls can wrap you around thier finger.i'll never put them on roayal canin mini ever again either, i'm not sure if that was the problem but just in case.i'm just so glad they got better from the vomiting!it was so scary! although i will aways be dealing with the stress of meeshas collapsed trachea, thanks for the positive thoughts and having others to talk to has helped me so much, i'm so glad i found this forum, although i'm not as active as i used to be due to work,it's helped me out so much throughout the years!thanks so much!
