I first noticed this when the lenght of the dogs back started to grow. Way I see it, the rear portion of the back is straight, and the back arches down due to the breast part of the dog being low, so its kind of an optical roach back thing. Im thinking this might be the result of the longer back so the muscles arent always tense and hold the back straight all the time, When she is paying attention to something its nice and straight, but when she doesnt it seems to be not. When it was our time to go on the show, it was very hot, sun was hitting the ring, she was quite down due to the heat, we were alone in the ring, she couldnt be motivated whatever I told her, and the treats didnt help either. I hope if I can strenghthen her she could develope in a good way. The dogs with short backs are beautiful, the back cannot arch as much and it seems a lot more tense all the time. I saw short dogs with humps but there the spine was deformed. In our case it would be straight if the due to length the front of the dog wasnt low. |
