She only does it when we are outside. Because she is so busy being nosey and chasing birds and barking at other dogs, she pees really, really fast. Peeing is actually the only time she slows down when we are outside.
. It probably is messy but by girl is a tomboy and loves to get dirty. Besides, she knows momma will make sure she is all cleaned up.
There is a video on here with another yorkie peeing the same way. I'll see if I can find it because it's exactly how my little one pees.
