Taylor, you've crossed a line here. Nothing "bit me in the butt" and never has. Accidents happen and dogs have sensitivities. Barney is a very elderly dog with some underlying heart and tracheal issues that predisposed him to the mode of action of the collar's ingredient. Nothing more and nothing less. I did what I needed to do to address the problem starting with keeping my cool, being unemotional as my dog was extremely sedate and lethargic and experiencing respiratory distress. I then drove at a high speed keeping us as safe as I could but still aimed with getting Barney to the nearest 24/7 hospital with boarded criticalists overseeing his care. I opted to keep him overnight in the hospital for his best interest on the advice of my trusted vet who was on email with me as this unfolded. I took my baby home the next day, and he will live to see his 15th birthday because of my actions and the actions of my vet. I hope if you find yourself in an emergency situation, you can do what needs to be done.too.
So nothing bit me in the butt. In fact, he recovered completely within 48 hours. The other three dogs also had the collars placed without incident. The emergency room staff of two major area hospitals had not experienced this with this very widely used product. My Barney was a statistic. Nothing bit him or me in the butt.
Now let's talk about you and this absolutely inappropriate and aggressive post that you've directed at me. I would never have said anything to you about your care of your dog, and quite frankly, I think this low blow is nothing short of appalling and offensive.
I leave you to your anger, to be within yourself, I look in my mirror every day and know how I care for my animals and what I do for them. Few can hold a candle.
