Hopefully the pup is still at the breeders. In many states it is illegal to sell a pup younger than 6 weeks, so if the pup is already at home, I doubt this was from a reputable breeder. If the pup is already home, you need to make sure he eats several times a day. Also he will miss out on many puppy manners that he would have been taught by mom and littermates, such as socialization and bite inhibition.
