Actually what you are describing is exactly to a "T" what my lil 8 month old has had. She had a UTI after being spayed. At that time the vet mentioned Liver Shunt as well...She was tested 3 times for LS, and definitely does not have it (whew!)...but she still had the UTI. She just finished the second stronger antibiotic this morning and she is much much better. She also seemed to be obssessed with water during that time, drinking way more then normal. Now after this second round of medication she's back to normal...well, whats normal for Sunni, lol. I felt so much relief after the last fasting blood work, just to be able to rule out LS. Hopefully, your pup will have the same outcome. Sunni, was going so randomly, she conveniently provided a urine sample at the vet as she was being weighed, lol. |
