I agree with this reply, and I'm sorry that the op sees it as negative. Yorkiemom1 happens to be a long time breeder and is much more aware of all the things that can go wrong. Yorkies aren't wild animals, they are much more likely to need help when whelping. I think even large breed dogs much be easier to whelp because a cesarean section seems so common with Yorkies, but you don't even know all the signs of distress. Is there anyway you can check with your vet to see if he knows of birthing coaches that could help you? I too wish you the best of luck, but breeding dogs is a lot like being a pilot of an airplane, 99% of the time the plane drives itself, a pilot is trained for all the possible emergencies!
