I'm not a fan of most "camera bags" (ie, those bags designed specifically for that) - so when I want to carry a lot of stuff, I'll use one of my vintage crossbody bags or a tote...works great. Camera bags do have a ton of extra padded compartments, so that's nice...but my stuff has remained safe, so far, without it.
For just walking around though, I usually just use my neck strap and carry the camera on my shoulder.
