My vet said not to take Bella beyond the end of the driveway due to the possibility of contracting parvovirus until four weeks after her last puppy vaccinations. It can be contracted from other dogs or wild animals in the area, even on the street, and the virus can remain dormant on the ground for months. It may seem paranoid, but better safe than sorry.
