The lenses sure theres not as many and cost more. But what you get is a much smaller package. In the years to come it will be the Camera everywhere. I'm sure you will like you camera. The Nikon D5300 sure its faster. Sure theres alot of lenses. To get a mirror less that is better you pay alot more. But you maynot ever take the pics because you don't want to lug the camera around. But the Nex7 you may.. Just look at the comparison pics. Pretty goodhttp://snapsort.com/compare/Nikon-D5300-vs-Sony-NEX-7 |
Yeah I was looking into the Nikon D3300, so this would be a step up from the quality I was looking at for a much lower price since I got the older model.
I was able to get good pics (where people actually complimented them) on a cruise forum that I'm on with my little Panasonic Lumix point and shoot, but only when it was bright light outside. Indoors it's not that great. I wanted something to take better pics indoors and low light and I was not going to get that in any point and shoot.
I never looked into getting a dslr before bc they are so big. The D3300 is supposed to be the smallest dslr and I still thought it was big! And you're right, if I never use the camera what is the point of getting it.
