Hello fellow yorkie lovers. Need experience input. I will start with the question because the narrative is quite long. Royal canin puppy yorkie formula; has anyone had issues with smelly poops, gas and coprophagy? I am not asking if the food is any good because no store bought is good for obvious reasons. I need personal experiences with this specific food.

We just brought home our second yorkie, Piper, this Saturday. She is healthy. The breeder had her on nutri source but with my first baby, Phoebe, I used Royal canin puppy for yorkies. This worked well for her. Fantastic poops and no gas or odors beyond poop. So, I started by doing gradual mix for Piper. We have not even got to half and half but, her gas is just gagging hell in the form of deadly and silently wafting air. If it had a color it would be sulphur. Poops are frequent, like 3 and 4 times throughout day and pleasant smelly packages of joy throughout the night. To top it all off, she turns around and eats the poop before I can reach it. I pick up poops immediately and I mean I am present, in reach and watching. She is that quick. Also, we are on feeding schedule so free grazing is not an issue.

Anyway, I am putting back on nutri source full time because the breeder already told me she pooped twice a day. I also know that foods that are not digesting will result in smelly poops and coprophagy. Thank you.
