Glad she has been started on meds. I think you are on the right track with your treatment (meds, feeding before bed and snacks available). I don't know what is available to you in S. Africa, here in the US there are products available called Nutrastat and Nutracal which raise the blood sugar. We also have honey in packets, which you might consider carrying with you when away from home. Many thing can lower blood sugar-not eating, long periods between meals (small stomachs, small size, age), exercise.
Many people don't realize how much energy an active little puppy can expend.
