Sasha had Legg-Perthes. It was explained to us as an interruption of blood flow to the femoral head. The bone dies and has to be removed. Sasha had the procedure done on March 4th and is doing well. She still limps when she goes into a full run but is getting stronger as time goes on. Hopefully by the 6 month mark she will be 100%. The amazing thing is they remove the femoral head and do not replace it with anything.
