Sakura has horrible allergies that are almost year round. She does so much better in winter than any other season. She will lick and bite her poor feet till they are all scabbed up. Her vet told me to giver her infant's benadryl but that was making her throw up so she prescribed Vetadryl. She is doing great on it. It the dog version of benadryl but it doesn't make her droopy or throw up. She gets one pill everyday and I can tell she feels so much better while taking them.
Axel has some kind of allergy that we haven't been able to figure out. His is just runny eyes constantly all year. He does the hacking bit every once and a while when he is outside too. We tried the vetadryl for him too but did not help him at all. So I just try to keep his stinky face clean for now. |
