You're welcome! The adequan cost me about $20 for the month of syringes - they made them up for me at the hospital. The vet showed me how to give the injections. My vet is an internal medicine specialist and she had given me the adequan for my other dog's knee which was flaring. I liked it so much that I asked if I could try it for Barney because he was occasionally limping on the front shoulder. She said sure and gave me the month and I swear he hasn't limped since. I rave about the adequan to everyone. BTW, when Barney was first having the shoulder bother him, my general vet thought it was arthritis (Barney is almost 15 now so he is a little old man). We tried Metacam and tramadol but it did not do much for him. I then asked another vet I know who is a neurologist if he could refer me to someone for this and he said he would examine Barney. That's when he told me it was not arthritis and he diagnosed him with the biceps tendonitis and said if it continued Barney would need a shot of cortisone in the joint. We just tried to rest it and hold off on the shot of cortisone (which requires being under anesthesia) and that's when I figured I would try the adequan. I'm a total believer in it. Some vets may not know of all the uses of it, but I go to a speciality hospital in boston and my vet up there is using it for all kinds of ailments and she says the stuff rocks.

Let us know what your vet thinks!
