Great advice.
As long as you know that the pup from the same breeder may have a totally different personality, I think you'll be fine managing expectations. As far as whether to buy from this breeder - really, it's up to you. If the puppies are well taken care of, socialized properly, loved, nurtured...I don't see how you could beat yourself up about buying from them again. I would have a much different opinion if it was a puppy mill or similar....that's not something any of us should endeavor to enable.
The age of your current pup, btw, is probably a nice age to get another one bc your current pup still has some of that puppy energy going on, most likely.
