At 3 lbs I put a quarter of a cup of kibble in his bowl at 6 am and a quarter of a cup in his bowl at 5 pm regardless of if there is anything in it or not. We do a lot of treat training so he gets full on that. It's a free range type deal but he controls it. When I noticed that his bowl was constantly empty in the afternoon when I got home from work, I bumped him up to a third in the morning and at night. He still has kibble but has started leaving his dinner for much later in the evening. I go to bed and his bowl is full but empty or nearly in the am.
