That is a toughie for sure. First I would crate my dog/pup when I go out and leave in a room sans cats.


Then you just might have to play the cats are on the lower level while doggey is out playing on the u pper level --- until you can get a behaviourist in.


My dear departed Maine Coone was an absolute sweetie with our pups ... but he trained all the pups up from puppyhood. I have hesitated in getting another kitten - just for the reason Judi stipulated - I won't know the personality of kitty until grown up -- And if kitty went after Razzle well then kitty would have to be re homed - and I won't enter into that kind of situation knowingly.


Our pack has always eaten together - and slept in the same room as Moms and Dads - young pups crated at night - senior guard boy out at night with Karma.
