I totally understand your fears! But as long as you get the pre-surgical bloodwork, it should all go very well. Make sure you absolutely go home w/ pain meds and give them on time - you want to stay ahead of the pain. Also, have a pain plan -- ask the doc what you should do if the pain is not being managed for her (ie up the dose? call for different med?...?). Good luck and do keep us posted on how she does!
