Just keep trying!
This is what my house was like. One year ago we had 2 English Setters, but my English Setter as battling cancer. His English Setter is healthy.
My English Setter had to be put down last summer because it wasn't fair for her to keep suffering and she was in so much pain and was wasting away to nothing.
Last fall a friend of mine asked me if she had a litter of puppies if I would like to have one and I jumped at the chance to finally have a Yorkie! However, her dog was not even pregnant so sometime in the future I would get a puppy.
January I am handed a wonderful 9 year old Yorkie who I just adore. As soon as I get him home my friend tells me she thinks her dog is expecting! LOL. I give my pick of the litter to my teenage daughter who still lives at home.
Puppies are born in March and my daughter picks one. My husband and I really like one of the others though. So, my friend asks us if we would take him since he is the only one of the litter without a home.
So, I went from NO Yorkies at New Years, to having just brought the puppies home last Monday and now I have 3! Plus an 80 lb English Setter. My house is so much fun! LOL
