Personally, I don't think we can make assumptions about how "God" wants us to care for these precious ones in our hands. I think we just have to try to do our very best for them to lead happy, loved doggy lives.

As far as "experiencing motherhood", our dogs aren't like us in terms of longing to have this experience or that experience - that's not how a dog's brain works. So, I wouldn't really base a choice of breeding upon your own projection upon your dog about it "wanting" motherhood - that's your desire for her, not her own desire. Do you know what I mean?

Whelping can very easily be a life or death experience - so this is why you see some of the responses here that you're seeing. YT has been here since 2005 and we've seen tragedy after tragedy occur during whelping with both new and experienced breeders. To most of us, breeding is NO small thing -- not at all. Not when it could/can take the life of both Momma and pups.
