To be honest here too:
I do have a lot of money so that's not a problem.
I also do have a lot of time
I got copies of the pedigrees but I don't know how to do any research on this.
The AKC website shows a pedigrees with links to click for explanations but the links don't work
I am not sure why it seems that everyone here sounds like its the worst idea in the world to breed Parti Yorkshire Terrier.
Is there something I should know maybe?
Thank you. |
You need to go to some experienced Parti breeders to learn how and why they were accepted by the AKC as pure bred Yorkshire Terriers. It's quite interesting and confusing. I am not a Parti breeder but some of my friends are. I'm trying to be neutral on the subject, but my nature draws me to the underdog. Most serious Yorkshire Terrier fanciers have a scary and severe hatred of the Parti colored Yorkie and will do all they can to discredit you for breeding them.
Pedigree research is complicated and much information is passed down by word-of-mouth, regardless of the coloring issues. Make friends in the Yorkie world, get to know people, find a great veterinarian, act responsibly and be prepared to pay out lots of money for good dogs and to settle up when things go wrong. Some of us do this for love of the breed and never because we need income from it.
