I love the idea of thinking of it as a dance with your dog. Definitely! Stay in tune and synch.
I also agree with you about expectations. Goes hand in hand with setting your dog up for success.
I have been working with Teddy on our solo walks without Max this week. What a difference! When Max gets back to walking, I will work/dance with him individually.
