I suppose it all depends if she's had a happy life to date as to how her character is set presently. That said, my friends little girl 'Molly' (Crystals best pal), came from an empty former life and was quite withdrawn at first. Five months on, she's well and truly in charge of a doting Mom & Dad and her uncle Martin too! Love and affection is a balm for nearly all dogs, especially Yorks, who seem to hoover it up!

Doc she is only a year old - in your home under you and your wifes loving care she will come out of her shell (that is if she is in a shell) - but she will adjust very nicely. Which is not to say there might be some work to do on your part. You need to know a lot about the environment she was raised in. Is she leashed trained - outer potty trained - only indoor - obedience commands she knows. Is she dog friendly. A barker - a nipper/ Is she used to sleeping in her crate/kennel.
