Yes, there is still hope
. Bella was cotton coated as a puppy, and as soon as the black hair grew out, all of the new silver hair was silky.
A red-legged Yorkie is one that doesn't change color much. Its coat stays shorter and dark, and the hair is coarser. Don't worry--since you can see lighter highlights beginning to come in, he will not be a red-legged Yorkie.
