I ban Joan for not banning Dyan for being sexist. I never said anything about women being catty. I said people are catty. And I double ban Joan for knowing where trolls live.

1) If one is being catty, they are being subtly or indirectly insulting. Different from bitchy in that bitchiness is just mean, while cattiness is often clever and witty, and isn't ALWAYS completely mean (for example, a catty joke). Both males and females can be and are catty.

However, after reviewing Urban Dictionary's definition, I might replace "catty" with the other example it mentions in contrast! More suiting to this particular banning crowd!
