We moved to an area with a lot of grass and ducks and we've been having problems with fleas since then, not bad but like I see 1 or 2 fleas on him every 3-4 months. So I used dawn during those times :-/

I'm assuming you won't be using Dawn again any time soon. lol Have you heard of Filthy Animal Shampoo? I use it few times in the summer b/c I'm paranoid about fleas. Neither M/Z seemed to have any issues with it. Below is the link to the product I'm talking about in case you're interested.
