Pick a spot mid point home and make sure you know where the nearest emergency vet is. And also pre book with your home vet the wellness examination for the day after you return. It will mean one overnight stay in a motel 6 or super8 but I am assuming you are paying for a motel when you are visiting the pups so not extra money really.
I would also ask the breeder and your vet about anything the pups could have to prevent car sickness.
I would have the minimum sized crate that can fit two pups in it and make sure it is attached securely within the car. You don't want the crate to become a missile should an accident happen. Make sure you travel with their health records and have a case in emergency call info. |
