Thanks everyone! He does have a grain and chicken allergy which took me years to figure out through eliminating different ingredients in his food. He would get itchy from that but never the redness like he's experiencing now. I have an appt set up for him tomorrow and the vet gave the go ahead for the children's Benadryl for today.
