Food allergies are rare more then likely in environmental allergies. I would go to your vet asap because they can give you medicine that will help. Benadryl has to be given multiple times a day to work and even then you should never give them any medicines without first talking to your vet. Also as far as I have been told if it is a food allergy Benadryl isn't going to help.
