After she has gone potty on her pads, we've been praising and rewarding her and when she is out with us we leave the door of her playpen open and rush her over to the pads every time we even suspect that she is pottying so that she will associate potty with the pads, but our efforts feel useless. It doesen't matter how many hours since she last ate/drank or if she went pee & poop in her playpen just 2 minutes previous--she still goes pee every few minutes when she is out with us--sometimes on our tile and sometimes on our carpet! She does not urinate nearly that frequently when she is inside her playpen (there will be around 4 pee marks after an entire 8 hr interval). I know she has a tiny developing bladder, but how is it that she cannot hold her pee longer than a few minutes versus urinating less frequently when she is penned & holding it all night when crated!!? :-/
It might be worth it to take her to the vet to have her checked out for a UTI. When Cali was a baby she would go outside and pee, then come right back in a do little dime sized pees. Turned out to be a UTI.
