ARe you NUTS? i live in illinois and the fleas here are absolutely insane. I hae to give flea meds allyear long. I have 4 dogs. a shih tzu , brussels griffon, yorkie bichon mix, and my lab died over the winter and i have a great dane here of my sons now. I also have 3 cats. FLeas are a horrible problem as they like the heat. And mosqsuitos. Frontline doesn't work well on my animals so I talked my vet into getting comfortis about 4 years ago. As for those of you who were giving partial Pills. YOU CAN"T DO THAT. No wonder they wreren't working. My vet says they are made by taking a drop of the med and just dropping it on the pill so it spreads out and you don't know what part of the pill it's on. We figured out a way around it. We smash the pill and dissolve it in water real good and pull it up in a syringe and put it in a small amount of food. It has worked that way real good for hte last few years. I don't thiknk Nexgard will work that way as it's a beef chewable. It is the best flea preventative I've ever used. I haven't seen a flea here in 2 months which is a miracle. I live out in the boonies and usually they are everywhere. Ticks also. I once woke up in the night with over 100 ticks on me stuck.
