My two puppies play the same way. Duncan is a little over 10 lbs. and Elliot weighs just barely 4 lbs. They are always rough housing, biting at each other, rolling over and over together and chasing each other through the house. What I think is really funny and I always laugh, is that they seem to take a break and sneeze at the same time while playing.

Weeks back when they first started rough housing, I watched them closely and Elliot is the one that always started it and she continues to be to this day. Duncan can be laying on the floor or sofa minding his own business and Elliot will sneak up to him and jump all over him. Duncan is very laid back and I have to say that 95% of the time, Duncan must realize that Elliot is smaller because he usually stays on the bottom and lets Elliot go at him. Once in awhile he gets on top of Elliot and then I watch them to make sure that Elliot doesn't get hurt.

It is just like when we go to puppy classes. Duncan at 10 lbs. is always playing with the 'big' puppies; mastiffs, german shepherds, boxers and his favorite, a 60 lb. sheepdog! He hasn't gotten hurt yet playing with the big puppies. They all seem to know how far they can go.
