My older dogs(bulldog and yorkie) have free run off the house, so my new puppy(Veau) is usually crated when I can't keep an eye I her. I let my bulldog(Roxie) and male yorkie(Rasta) meet her through her ex pen. A few days after she came home I let Rasta meet her while he was on my lap. There's not much size difference between the two so I do let them out together but Rasta wants to be left alone most of the time so I have to swoop in and get Veau when his patience gets low. Veau does fine with our bully, but there's a major 57 lb size difference so they never can be left alone together and if I feel uncomfortable with the situation they're separated. You'll be fine! Just take things slow, they may not be best friends in a day but they should eventually get along.
