I chose not to have children, but have loved and enjoyed delightful nieces and nephews. Way back when, my sister was deciding whether to first get a dog or have kids...My response, "If you want kids, I wouldn't get a dog first, because when you realize all the responsibility, work, expense, and time a dog takes---and mind you, you can put the dog out or crate him if you get exasperated--you probably won't have kids." Soo...I am the proud aunt to my sister's two beautiful daughters! My Piper-girl is my little love; I am content and fulfilled and thankful for everything she brings.
