Mike, as Kristin said, this wasn't a flea collar. It was just for ticks. I hate all the pesticides, but have always have but felt that the risks from tick borne disease were more worrisome. A toxic exposure event where your dog is going out changes your life, it is very scary. I've changed my ability to use any product for this. For fleas, we are covered by Sentinel.

I am off to plant my (safe) tick repellant plants in my garden and try to border off areas of the garden where I suspect ticks hang out. I'm making up my own tick repellant spray too. I don't feel like it's the protection of the pesticides but may be better than nothing.
