I completely understand what you mean, though, and I'm sorry for making it seem as though I wanted to know what I should do to let him go. I guess this was more of a "how do I cope with losing him?" type thing. I guess I should have been more specific. My bad! |
Coping will be difficult and I agree with Matese, you don't want the last moment with him to be watching him be shot. Make an appointment, bring someone you trust to support you and humanely put him to rest. He will know you are there and his last moments will be peaceful with you.
