If you're not asking for a re-homing fee, why not see if a rescue will take them in. A reputable rescue will be very picky in finding them the right home, getting vet referrals, etc.

Also, there is a risk when you rehome without a fee. There are some people who will say all of the right things and lead you to believe that they will provide the perfect home, but their intention from the beginning is to get the dog so that they can sell it, so you really have no idea what kind of a home they will end up in. There are also very bad people that take advantage of a "free dog" and your pup could end up being used as a bait dog.

I've had three that I got as a result of a need to rehome, and they've all been a blessing. But I did pay for every one of them. If someone pays a fee, that's a good sign that they do see the dog has value.
