It's hard to believe that story about a vet....

Anyway - I had a cat that wouldn't leave her kittens, and on the third day, I finally just picked her up and took her outside where she did go to the bathroom. And - I even handfed her for a day or two while she nursed - plus held water for her. She just didn't want to leave her kittens. I'm sure she would have eventually, but I wonder when...??? I'm sure I did the right thing - I think she needed a little encouragement. Of course, everything worked out just fine. She had six huge healthy kittens, and she continued to be a wonderful mother for as long as we had them.
